At the Virginia Military Institute’s recent graduation May 16, Hannah P. Dickinson of Peachtree City received a B.S. degree in biology with minors in psychology and chemistry. Graduating honors include Distinguished Graduate and Institute Honors. Parents are Mr. & Mrs. Gary W. Dickinson.

Ashley Dixon of Fayetteville was awarded the Cecil B. Day Scholarship in Hospitality Achievement at the 2015 Honors Day Celebration at Georgia State University.

Titus Creamer of Newnan and Marco Amalfitano of Peachtree City are among U.S. Sen Johnny Isakson’s recent nominees to the nation’s service academies. Creamer will attend the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and Amalfitano is bound for the U.S. Military Academy.

Molly McBride of Fayetteville made the Spring 2015 President’s List at Georgia Southwestern State University and was among 487 students recognized for scholastic achievement. To be eligible for the President’s List, a student must earn a semester GPA of 4.0 and take a minimum of 12 credit hours.

For the spring semester at Piedmont College, Justin Lee Groover of Newnan and Marisa T. Register of Fayetteville were named Dean’s Scholars for having a perfect 4.0 grade-point average. Named to the Dean’s List with a GPA of 3.5 or higher were Jenine M. Brideau of Fayetteville, McKynsey R. Douglas of Newnan, Maggie A. McDaniel of Newnan, Ashley K. Steele of Fayetteville and Adam G. Weisheit of Fayetteville.

Kristin Campbell and Julia Dunlap, both of Peachtree City, made the Dean’s List for the spring semester at Georgia Southwestern University. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must earn a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and take a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Jeremy S. Taylor of Fayetteville was named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester at East Tennessee State University. To receive this honor, students must successfully complete a minimum of 12 hours of undergraduate coursework with a grade point average of at least 3.7 on a 4.0 scale.
