Judith Kubitz of Fayetteville, Ga. went to be with her Lord October 2, 2015.  Judi was born in Evanston, Ill. on December 27, 1942.  

Judi led a life well lived – She was a director of the YWCA including a shelter for battered women and was a founding member of a battered women’s program in Fayette County. She was a lobbyist for children’s issues for 8 years and then ran for the State Legislature of Georgia. She was a founding member, board member and president of Arts Clayton.  Judi had a great love of plants and achieved Advanced Master Gardener and was awarded Life Time Membership. Her greatest joy was sharing her knowledge of plants with others by teaching classes and helping design gardens.

Judi is survived by her husband, John Kubitz; her family Jeff and Bahiyyah Anderson, Karen and Jack Scott, Peter and Jennifer Kubitz, Mandy Rodgers; her  grandchildren Mikayla and Nathan Rodgers, Emma and Ethan Scott, Caden and Harrison Kubitz.

She was preceded in death by her children, Michael Rodgers and Dana Tancraitor and brother, John Yaskin.

Services will be held October 10th at 11 a.m. at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City.  There will be a viewing from 5 – 7 p.m., October 9, 2015 at Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home in Peachtree City.
