 Josephine M. (Schiffli) Miller who was born on March 3, 1920 in Waterloo, Ind. died on September 24, 2015. Jo died peacefully in Venice, Fla.

    Jo was the fourth of five daughters of August and Anna Schiffli.  She graduated from Ashley High School in 1939 and St Joseph’s school of Nursing in 1942 in Ft. Wayne, Ind.  In 1946 she married James Miller and moved to Lubbock, Texas while he completed his degree in engineering. They moved to South Bend, Ind. where they raised their four children.  A transfer took them to Union, S.C. in 1965 for seven years, where he managed the Tyger River Division of Torrington Bearings, then back to South Bend before retirement. After retirement they lived in Tarpon Springs, Fla., and Peachtree City, Ga.

    Josephine is survived by her children; Annette Dwyer and husband Bill of Venice, Fla., Mike Miller and his wife Penny of New Albany, Ind.,  David Miller of Santa Fe, N.M.,  and Barbara Miller of John’s Creek, Ga.  She also leaves behind six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

 She will be buried with her husband in the National Cemetery in Canton, Ga.
