Bryant Betsill was one of a kind. He was a craftsman, an artist, an author, a teacher, a leader, an adventurer, a volunteer, a neighbor and a friend. And he made the best kettle corn you’ve ever had. We miss him.

A. Bryant Betsill, Jr. passed away Friday, April 24, 2015.

Bryant is survived by his wife of 41 years, Yvonne Betsill; his daughters Jennifer Bowen and Rebekah Betsill Twilley; his son Alex B. Betsill, III; his parents Alex and Susie Betsill; his grandsons Nathan and Stryder; his step-granddaughter Peyton; his sisters Cathy and Nancy; his brothers Steve and Jeff; and his dog Coco.

Bryant was cremated in his Scoutmaster uniform (Troop 181, PTC, GA). We will honor his life at a celebration service Friday, May 15, 2015 at 3 p.m. at The Calvin Center, Hampton, Ga. The lakeside service will be followed by a covered dish celebration in the Lakeview Room.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the American Red Cross or the Boy Scouts of America. Please contact the family for more details on the service.
