Government housing- unsafe living conditions, putting children in danger
The city of Peachtree City's government, low income housing apartment complex Woodsmills Apartments is unsafe to it's current residents. One building in the complex in-particular has been infested with mold and mildew. The families living in this complex have tried numerous occasions to appeal to the apartment management, USDA, health department, and others to get the problem fixed. However, the only solution the people in charge have come up with is painting over the evidence of mold. They are only hiding the problem. Covering up mold and mildew does not get rid of it, it only saves whoever runs the apartment's job. This needs to be stopped. My mother lives in that building, and 4 out of 4 people living in her apartment are struggling with respiratory health issues due to allergies- most likely mold. They are not the only ones, I talked to several neighbors, some with small children and some elderly who are living in places they cannot afford to move out of, but is literally endangering their lives. These living conditions are not only endangering their lives but are potentially putting the parents at risk to have their children taken away- and whose fault would that be? The governments. I have proof in the form of un-edited photos documenting the mold and mildew in my mother's and her elderly neighbors apartment. This needs to be stopped. Will someone please help our citizens in need?
