Several local churches plan weekly Lenten events

St. Paul Lutheran Church will hold mid-week Lenten services on Wednesdays, March 6, 13, and 20 at 6:30 p.m. The church is on Ardenlee Parkway in Peachtree City.

Word of God Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will have Wednesday evening Lenten meditation services at 7 p.m. on March 6, 13, and 20. Word of God is at 303 Kelly Dr., Suite 10, in Peachtree City.

Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will offer Lenten lunches, consisting of a light lunch and a short devotional message, from noon until 1 p.m. each Thursday during Lent (through March 28).

Lunches are prepared by the UMW circles and messages are offered by pastors, lay leaders and others. The lunches are served in the Fellowship Hall and cost $2. FFUMC is across the street from the old courthouse in Fayetteville.
