Peachtree City will soon get an indoor gun range located on Ga. Highway 74 South on property just south of the police department building.

A project of the Dockery Group, the 6.62-acre lot will include a 19,900 sq. ft. indoor gun range, a 9,000 sq. ft. office building, a 10,500 sq. ft. office building and a 4,860 sq. ft. free-standing automated car wash.

The property is located at 102 Guthrie Way, immediately south of the Peachtree City Police Department.

Project representative Nathan Dockery said the indoor gun range will include six rifle lanes, 10 pistol lanes, gun sales and service and an area for the manufacture of custom firearms.

The gun range building will be the first to open, with that opening expected in the fall.

Indoor gun ranges are a permitted use of the Light Industrial-zoned property.

Included in the gun range building will be a restaurant with a separate entrance.

Of the buildings approved, only the gun range building will be two-story.

The building will be constructed of stacked stone, Hardiplank and stucco with wood features.

The property has been through the planning process on several occasions since 2006, with approved projects ranging from 42,000-58,000 sq. ft.
