UPDATE — A June 30 collision between a golf cart and a car on Huddleston Road in Peachtree City resulted in the four passengers in the golf cart being treated and released from area hospitals.

Peachtree City Police Department spokesperson Odilia Bergh on the day of the accident said the collision occurred when a golf cart traveling northbound on Huddleston Road turned in front of a car that had turned onto Huddleston from Ga. Highway 54 and was headed southbound. The accident occurred a short distance from Hwy. 54.

The golf cart was attempting to turn left into a business when the collision occurred, Bergh said, adding that the golf cart flipped over and the four occupants were ejected.

One of the occupants, a girl of approximately 7-8 years was airlifted to Egleston Hospital in an unknown condition, said Bergh.

Another passenger, a boy of approximately 11-12 years, sustained non-serious injuries and was also transported to Egleston, Bergh said.

The two remaining occupants of the golf cart, both adults, also sustained non-serious injuries and were transported to Atlanta Medical Center, said Bergh.

Police department spokesman Mark Brown on July 6 said all four occupants of the golf cart were treated and released.

Bergh said the driver of the car was not injured.

The accident did not involve a test drive at the Golf Rider store on Huddleston and had nothing to do with the business, owner Frank Kadkhodaian said this week.

Golf Rider employees assisted those injured in the accident and furnished police with photos, he said.
