Photography exhibit June 5

Tricia Stearns, a local writer and director of the Peachtree City Farmers Market and Community Garden, expands her creative ventures with her first photography exhibit at Clayton Arts Gallery with a reception Friday, June 5, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

“‘Harvesting Hope: Metamorphic Images’ represents a body of work that explores the evolution of change from the way we see our food, our ways we communicate, and how we coexist with nature,” according to a news release.

Stearns’ photographs have been accepted in Slow Exposures Exhibit (2013) and most recently University of New Orleans, Naturalist Photography Juried Exhibition, Southern Women at Work and she received Best of Show at Clayton Arts 2014 Photography Exhibit.

Founded in 1986, Arts Clayton celebrates 25 years of successful community services and programs which focus on enriching lives through the arts. Arts Clayton Gallery is located at 136 South Main Street in Jonesboro, with convenient street parking, and is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.

Arts Clayton Gallery is a non-profit community art gallery dedicated to enriching lives through art as partners with current and future exhibiting artists, patrons, Arts Clayton, Inc. members and the community. Its goal is to foster an appreciation for the arts and awaken the creativity dwelling in us all.
