The 35th annual Clown Caper Children’s Carnival at Fayetteville’s Counterpane School is set for May 9 at 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Counterpane’s Clown Caper is an old-fashioned children’s carnival that provides fun and educational activities – including activities with the “Souns for Literacy” program – for children up to 10 years of age on the school grounds at 839 Hwy 314 in Fayetteville.

Activities include old-fashioned carnival games, a grill picnic, horseback rides, cakewalk, petting zoo, and the annual shearing of Buttons, the sheep.  This annual spring event is perfect for families with young children.

Counterpane is a non-profit Montessori environment for preschool through high school students that is dedicated to all children locally and globally through its “Souns for Literacy” program.

Souns is a phonics-based program that teaches the fundamental skills of reading and writing.  Much of this work is due to the generous support of Rotary International and the Rotary Club of Peachtree City.

Come celebrate the day with fun, games, and balloons, face painting, apple bobbing, and pony rides.
