The Walk to End Alzheimer’s
October 7 @ 8:00 am - 11:00 am
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s of the Southern Crescent is today at the Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater in Peachtree City. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the walk starts at 9 a.m.. Participants will complete a 3.1 mile walk on the beautiful cart paths of Peachtree City. There will be golf carts stationed along the course to aid those who cannot walk the entire length. There will be snacks available at the start and a lunch afterword prepared by the Peachtree City Kiwanis Club.
The Alzheimer’s Association staff will be available to discuss Alzheimer’s disease, advocacy opportunities, clinical studies and support programs. Walk participants will also join in a meaningful tribute ceremony to honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. The walks signature flowers recognize everyone affected by the disease. This is a rain or shine family friendly event where walkers, runners, wheelchairs, strollers and dogs are welcome. Our children’s area was a big hit last year and will be back for 2017. Come enjoy the fabulous 18 piece Peachtree Jazz Edition playing music all morning.
