Ferguson to speak to Rotary

Georgia Power area manager Tony Ferguson will speak at the Senoia Rotary meeting scheduled for Monday, Aug. 15, at 6:30 p.m. at Senoia Coffee and Café, 1 Main Street.

Ferguson serves as the area manager for the company’s operations in Coweta and Fayette counties. In this position, he is responsible for coordinating company activities and focusing on delivering world-class value to customers while working closely with community leaders, local, state and federal officials on issues concerning Georgia Power and the company’s customers.

Most recently, Ferguson served as sales manager in Georgia Power’s East Region near Augusta. He began his career with Georgia Power in 1987 and has held various roles throughout the company in Supply Chain, Distribution, Transmission and Lighting Services.  Ferguson holds a bachelor’s degree in management and marketing from North Georgia College. He is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accredited professional and has completed the Georgia Academy for Economic Development training program.

Ferguson resides in Newnan with his wife and two daughters and is currently serving as the chairman of the Newnan Coweta Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Special guests at the meeting include Alanis Garcia (this year’s RYLA student) and Coweta Charter Academy Principal Gene Dunn. Alanis will give a brief update on her RYLA experience and the club will be making a special presentation of books for the Coweta Charter Academy library to Principal Dunn.
