PUMC to offer Community Bible Study

FFBC starts ESL classes Sept. 8, 9
ESL (English as a Second Language) classes begin at Fayetteville First Baptist Church on Tuesday, Sept.  8 for evening classes and Wednesday, Sept. 9 for day classes. Registration for all classes will be on Sept. 1.  Returning students for day classes  will register from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m.; new day students will register from 10 a.m. to noon; and evening classes will register from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. First Baptist Church is at 205 East Stonewall Ave. in Fayetteville, near the Old Fayetteville Courthouse. Limited childcare is provided for day students only.

Indian Christian Fellowship to meet
South Atlanta Indian Christian Fellowship will host a gospel meeting Saturday, Sept. 12, at 5 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Fayette Presbyterian Church, 791 Forrest Ave. in Fayettevile. Rev. Reji Paul, a prominent theological professor, will speak. The event is sponsored by the Atlanta parish of the St. Thomas Evangelical Church of India. Gospel festival set for Sept. 19
The second annual Gospel Under the Stars Festival is Saturday, Sept. 19 at 4 p.m. at 1565 Hwy. 92 N. in Fayetteville, hosted by Mount Olive Baptist Church. The theme is “We are Family.” The tri-county, community-wide “outdoor” festival will include gospel music performances, tag-team preaching, youth Olympic-style games, bouncers, food, and vendors. The purpose of the festival is to give back to the community and to bring families together. Organ, voice concert set at PTCUMC
Peachtree City United Methodist Church will present its  second inaugural concert, “Music for Organ and Voice,” celebrating the new organ designed and built by the Allen Organ Company. The event is planned for Sunday, Sept. 27 at 4 p.m. Mike and Cathy Strain of PTCUMC will present music that showcases the new organ as both a solo instrument and as a collaborative and accompanying instrument. There will be an ice cream social following the concert. The church is at 225 Robinson Road, Peachtree City.

Holly Grove plans special service
On Sunday, Sept. 27,  at the 11 a.m. service, Holly Grove AME Church will host its Annual Steward Day and Twelve Tribes Celebration. Holly Grove is located in Peachtree City at  400 Holly Grove Church Rd., just off the south end of Robinson Road.

Evergreen to offer ladies’ Bible study
