Merrill Chapel’s revival starts tonight
Merrill Chapel United Methodist Church will hold its Summer Revival from Wednesday through Friday, July 27-29, at 7:30 p.m. nightly.  The host pastor is the Rev. Richard Gilbert.  The Rev. George Harkness of Dent Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Newnan will open the revival on Wednesday.  Thursday’s revivalist will be the Rev. John D. Menefee, pastor of Union Grove Baptist Church in Union City.  The revival will conclude on Friday with a message from Minister Besean A. Jackson of Fellowship of Love Church in Fayetteville. Merrill Chapel UMC is located at 430 S. Jeff Davis Drive in Fayetteville.  The entire Christian community is welcome.

Flipper Chapel’s VBS is this Saturday
Flipper Chapel A. M. E. Church will have VBS Saturday, July 30, from  10 a.m. until noon. The theme is “Rejoicing in Jesus.” A picnic and school supply giveaway will be held from noon until 3 p.m. The church is located at 175 Booker Ave., Fayetteville.

FCCF plans Fifth Sunday Celebration
The Fellowship of Christian Churches and Friends (FCCF) will hold its regular Fifth Sunday Celebration on July 31, at 2:30 p.m. at Mount Olive Baptist Church, located in northwest Fayette County at 1565 Ga. Highway 92, North.  The host pastor is the Rev. Melvin Ware.  The service will honor the life of First Lady Annie Elder, who passed away last month.   Elder was the wife of Pastor Dwight Elder of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Peachtree City.  The FCCF seeks to join churches and friends from the local area in biblical unity.  All are truly welcome.

Community Bible study at Providence

Final drive-in movie is Aug. 19
First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City will host its final Golf Cart Drive-In Movie for the community on Aug. 19.   The movie is family friendly and will begin at dusk on the lawn at 206 Willow Bend Rd. Nat’l. Hgts. to host safety summit
National Heights Baptist Church will host a Community Safety Summit on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Participants may attend classes on what to do in an active shooter situation, avoiding scams and cons, first aid/AED skills, self-defense, teen dating violence, and others.
