PTC Presbyterian hosts Ash Wednesday
First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City will have an Ash Wednesday service tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. All are welcome. The church is at 206 Willowbend Rd., Peachtree City. For information, call 770-487-7757.

Ash Wednesday set at Providence
The community is invited to Providence United Methodist Church at 7 p.m. today for an Ash Wednesday worship service. Free childcare is provided in the Children’s Building for young children who cannot sit quietly through this somber, reverent worship service. The 45-minute service includes music, a short message, Holy Communion and ends with Imposition of the Ashes. All are invited to a free spaghetti and meatball supper before the service from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Providence is at 592 Bernhard Road in southern Fayette County between Redwine Road and Ga. Highway 85. COS schedules Ash Wednesday events
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City offers two services on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 12:15 and 6:30 p.m. These services launch the season of Lent, 40 days of introspection and repentance. Both services include Holy Communion, and worshipers will be invited to receive ashes on their foreheads. Pastor Miriam Beecher will speak, and Sanctuary Choir will sing at the 6:30 service.

Guest soloist at COS
Guest singer Reggie Johnson will join the Second Sundays Band at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church on Feb. 14 at 10:50 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. According to Second Sundays spokesperson Barbara Anderson, “It’s all about love!”  Songs by the Beatles and George Harrison will be included, along with music by Third Day, Jesus Culture, Building 429, and more. All are invited. The church is on the corner of Ga. Highway 54 and Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree City.

Pastors’ planning meeting planned
All Fayette County pastors and congregational leaders are invited to attend a Fayette County pastors planning meeting for Reconciliation and Unity on Thursday, Feb. 25, at 10 a.m. at Liberty Baptist Church, 1077 Ga.
