Piedmont Fayette receives grant from ‘It’s the Journey’

Two Piedmont Healthcare-affiliated hospitals have been awarded grants from It’s The Journey, Inc., producers of the Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer.

Piedmont Fayette Hospital was awarded over $20,000 to support the hospital’s patient navigator, whose primary responsibility is to guide cancer patients through their continuum of care and provide comfort during difficult times. Auditions are set for ‘The NeverEnding Story’

A Company of Friends Theatrical Productions will hold open auditions for the Fantastical Adventure Production of “The NeverEnding Story” on April 16. All ages from 8 years through mature adults will be cast in this high action and special effects filled show. Everyone will have a wonderful time portraying the fantasy characters that come to life right in from of the audience’s eyes. Fayetteville author’s military background aided new book

As a college recruiter, Quinn Cooper saw the country. Traveling the country, along with a military intelligence background, has now catapulted Cooper into the growing class of published Fayette authors.

Cooper will launch his thriller “Who’s Watching the Watcher?: A Ted Teagan Thiller” at the New Writers Night at the Barnes & Noble in the Ashley Park shopping center in Newnan April 25.

Fayette wetland preserve draws migrating birds

Join fellow nature lovers on a fun and informative morning Bird Walk on Saturday, April 13, at Sams Lake Sanctuary in Fayette County.

Brock Hutchins will lead the guided walk at the scenic wetland preserve owned by Southern Conservation Trust. Hutchins has led many field trips in Georgia and North Carolina. Hutchins is a long-time member of the Atlanta Audubon Society and is the coordinator of the Peachtree City Christmas Bird Count for Audubon. Read More»

In late February, Lisa Kelly, former soprano with Celtic Woman, began teaching her first classes at a new performing arts academy in Peachtree City.

Busy as bees at 180-degree Farm
