It was a great day at beautiful Eagle’s Landing Country Club in Stockbridge when over 100 golfers, sponsors, and Consumer Investigator, Dale Cardwell (a Gold Sponsor) came together to have fun while helping children in need.

This year’s “Golf Fore Kids” Classic raised over $36,000 to support the abandoned, abused, and neglected children who make their home at The Children’s Village at Christian City.
“We were thrilled with the turn-out,” said Christian City president/CEO Bob Crutchfield. “We’re so grateful to Dale Cardwell and all of our sponsors and golfers. Without them, our children could not receive the care they deserve. We hope everyone had a great time while helping support this important ministry.”

First place overall tournament winners were the Mauldin & Jenkins Foursome: Ashton Pellicano, Brent Shearer, Collin Ho, and Tommy Forrestal. Winners of this year’s church challenge were the First Christian Church of Stockbridge Foursome: John Clabby, George Whitley, Dean Cowan, and Joel Johnson. More event details and photos can be found on the Christian City website at www.christiancity.org. Tom DiGregorio, of Aquaguard Foundation Solutions (a Signature Sponsor) was on hand, as was Duncan McRae of Willis Insurance Solutions of Georgia (a Gold Sponsor).

Breakfast was provided by Senior Helpers, Shane’s Rib Shack delivered boxed lunches, and dinner was served in the Eagle’s Landing dining room. Snacks and beverages were provided throughout the day, compliments of the Midwest Food Bank and Pepsi. Silent auction items and free give-aways helped complete this full – and fun – event.
The Children’s Village is a 501(c)3 non-profit located in Union City. Since 1965 it has offered life services and a safe haven for children in crisis, aged 5-17. The majority who come to the program are victims of abuse, neglect, or abandonment. Christian City offers them a welcoming home environment, loving house parents, and a chance to heal and grow.
