Storytelling and history will once again intermingle at the historic cemetery in Fayetteville when spirit guides lead visitors down the cemetery path to hear personal stories from the “ghosts” of Fayette’s historic residents.

The Sprit Walk is Oct. 17 and Oct. 18 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Advance tickets can be purchased at the Historic Courthouse beginning October 13 and October 18 at the Holliday-Dorsey-Fife Museum until 3 pm. Tickets can also be purchased on site at the historic cemetery Friday and Saturday night beginning at 6pm. Tickets will be sold for specific half-hour time slots, and will be taken in groups of 10 to 15 people.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under (babies and toddlers up to age 4 are free)

While on site, visitors can meet real live ghost hunters from the “Casework: Paranormal Group” as they share their photographic results from studying the Holliday-Dorsey-Fife Museum for spirit activity. Before and after the tour, visitors can enjoy the hauntingly, historic southern music performed by local members of the SCV. Free refreshments of hot cocoa and treats will be provided by Gospel Community Church and Rolling Hills Baptist Church.

Also for the month of October, the HDF Museum will feature a special exhibit of Victorian mourning rites. Mourning jewelry, gowns and letters from the 1800s will be on display. The museum is open Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
