Ferguson named as Ga. Power manager

    Georgia Power has named Tony Ferguson as the area manager for the company’s operations in Coweta and Fayette counties.

    In this position, Ferguson will be responsible for coordinating company activities and focusing on delivering world-class value to customers in Coweta and Fayette counties, the company said.

    Ferguson will also work closely with community leaders and local, state and federal officials on issues concerning Georgia Power and the company’s customers.

    Most recently, Ferguson served as sales manager in Georgia Power’s East Region near Augusta. He began his career with Georgia Power in 1987 and has held various roles throughout the company in Supply Chain, Distribution, Transmission and Lighting Services.

    “I’m very excited about this opportunity to serve our customers throughout Coweta and Fayette counties,” said Ferguson. “I look forward to working with the Georgia Power local team, our customers, community leaders and elected officials in my new role.”

    Ferguson holds a bachelor’s degree in management and marketing from North Georgia College. He is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accredited professional and has completed the Georgia Academy for Economic Development training program.

    Ferguson will live in Newnan with his wife and two daughters.
