Honors program

These Whitewater High School students represented Fayette County at Valdosta State University for the 2014 Governor’s Honors Program June 22-July 19. The Georgia Governor’s Honors Program (GHP) is a four-week, summer residential program designed to provide intellectually gifted and artistically talented high school students challenging and enriching educational opportunities not usually available during the regular school year. Only 1 percent of sophomores and juniors in the state of Georgia are nominated to the state level for the Program. The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour traveled to Senoia June 6-7 for the Canongate Series #4. The Canongate Seminole Course played excellent host to two very competitive rounds of junior golf.
