Chassis for Charity show draws near

The Coweta Fayette Rotary Club will be hosting its sixth annual Chassis For Charity car show Aug. 23 at Junction Lanes in Newnan.

The show hosts car, truck and bike enthusiasts from all over Georgia and Alabama.

This year’s show will have 22 classes for cars, trucks and bikes with 1st place trophies and second place recognition in each class. They will also have Best In Show, Best Paint, Best Interior, Best Engine and People’s Choice. 

There will be commemorative dash plaques for participants. Big Daddy’s BBQ of Newnan will be there serving up its BBQ and ribs. There will be touch a truck for the kids, Dusty The Clown with face painting and balloon art. DJ Jamie Eubanks will be spinning tunes all day and there are over $1,000 in raffle prizes with a 50/50 raffle too.

The event is free to the public and $20 for participants. All proceeds from the event will go to assist Coweta Fayette Rotary with their various community projects all over the county and abroad.

Registration begins at 9 a.m, judging at noon and awards at 2:30 p.m. The show is open from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. to the public. 

This year’s partners are Southtowne, Talbot State Bank, Malinda Shelley of Harry Norman Realtors, UBS Financial Services Inc. – Alpharetta, Senoia Coffee and Cafe, Sam Morris State Farm Agency, Campbells Custom Cars, Bank of North Georgia, and Healthy Life Chiropractic .
