Numerous guns, ammo stolen from Fayetteville gun store

A burglary discovered mid-morning on Thursday at Coe Firearms in Fayetteville resulted in the theft of an undetermined number of weapons and ammunition.

The gun store on Howard Lane at Ga. Highway 54 is located upstairs from the law office of Philip Coe, who said he arrived at 9:50 a.m. and found the downstairs alarm still set, according police spokesman Steve Crawshaw.

Crawshaw said gun store owner Allen Coe told officers he arrived and went upstairs to find gun cases open with an undetermined number of handguns, rifles and shotguns and boxes of ammunition missing.

Crawshaw said it is believed that the building was entered through a rear window.

Caught with pants down?

Of course no details... but as a gun owner, my questions:

Alarm System? ( I know.. "downstairs" alarm system... the firearms are "upstairs")

Safe?

Video surveillance system?

Inventory? (FFL holder would/should have a record of all firearms in inventory)

Reinforced entries?

Again.. not all the facts... but these are just glaring questions I would have to ask... Now let's pray Law Enforcement can catch the perp and retrieve the weapons before they fall into the wrong hands
