Former Broadway performer and award-winning New York cabaret star, Robert Ray returns to his hometown Fairburn with a brand new show on August 23 and 24.
Following four years of totally sold out performances Ray will hit the stage in a show that celebrates the music of Barry Manilow, Bob Seeger, Natalie Cole, Elton John, Gladys Knight, Karen Carpenter, Billy Preston, Aretha Franklin, The O’Jays and The Eagles.

Ray will be backed by seven of Atlanta’s top musicians under the direction of pianist Robert Strickland who has accompanied such stars as Michael Feinestein, Jennifer Holiday, Joni Mitchell, Lena Horn, Divo, Robert Goulet and many more.
Singers Shawn MeGorden, Marsha Dupree, Rick Mallory, Vance West, Carter McPherson and Kendal Kearns will help Ray belt out some of the best-loved songs of the 70s.

Ray began his career at Six Flags over Georgia and landed a role in the hit Broadway revival of “Oklahoma!” shortly after moving to NYC in the early 80s. In 1981 he was nominated for four NYC Cabaret Awards, winning two.
In Atlanta, Robert and his orchestra have performed at Underground Atlanta’s Peach Drop, Lenox Square’s 4th of July Celebration and seven First Night Atlanta celebrations.
Show times are 8 p.m. on both August 23 and 24.

Tickets are $27 for seniors 62 and over, $30 for general admission and $40 for patron seats in the first four rows.
