Clanton-Hasel Wedding

Melissa Sue Clanton and Jonathan Robert Hasel were married June 12, 2010, at Thomasville Road Baptist Church in Tallahassee, Fla. The service was conducted by the Rev. Jerry Thornton and the sand ceremony performed by the Rev. Dennis Rader of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., uncle of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of Chuck and Debbie Clanton of Fayetteville. A graduate of Fayette Christian School in Fayetteville, Truett-McConnell College in Cleveland, Ga. and Florida State University, she is currently a music therapist for Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee.

The groom is the son of Steve and Cheryl Hasel of Inverness, Fla. A 2006 graduate of Florida State University, he will receive his master’s degree in human services in 2010 from Liberty University. He is a campus and community ministries care case manager with the Florida Baptist Children’s Home covering the Pensacola to Tallahassee district.

The maid of honor was Shea Clanton of Tallahassee. Bridesmaids were Lauren Adams, Tallahassee; Mollee Rader, cousin of the bride of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; Ashley Rader, cousin of the bride of Panama City, Fla.; Krista Thornton of Wake Forest, N.C.; and Emily Thompson of Dothan, Ala. Flower girls were cousins of the bride, Sheila and Lily Rader of Panama City.

The best man was Tim Hadley of Tallahassee. Groomsmen were Daniel Poisson of Huntsville, Ala.; Andy Clanton, brother of the bride of Fayetteville; Ruben Madrid of Tallahassee; Andrew Hasel, cousin of the groom of Orlando, Fla.; and Bryce Melvin of Washington D.C. Braeden and Connor Denny, the groom’s nephews of Boca Raton, Fla., served as the ring bearers. Ushers were, Vladek Hasel, brother of the groom of Inverness, Fla.; Austin Rader, cousin of the bride of Panama City Beach; T.J. Hadley of Tallahassee; and Clayton Godfrey of Macon.

An evening of dinner and dancing was held at the Capital City Country Club in Tallahassee.

Mr. and Mrs. Hasel honeymooned at Lake Tahoe, Yosemite National Park and other sites in California and Nevada and now reside in Tallahassee.
