Schoon-Harris Engagement

Jackie and Jeff Toney of Atlanta, Georgia and Lance and Sherrie Schoon of Brooks, Georgia are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter Kayci Jo Schoon to Michael Hollis Harris, son of David and Leigh Ann Harris of Fayetteville, Georgia.

Kayci is the granddaughter of Wendy and Russell Krausz of Lemmon, South Dakota and Luther and Luana Schoon of Thunderhawk, North Dakota. Michael is the grandson of Betty Bailey Mayfield of Fayetteville, Ga., and of Hollis Harris of Peachtree City, Georgia.

Kayci is a 2008 graduate of Grady High School’s communications magnet program in Atlanta and a 2012 honor graduate of the University of Georgia, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and French. She went on to complete a Masters degree in history at the University of Chicago and is currently pursuing a PhD in modern European history at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin.

Michael is a 2008 honor graduate of Starr’s Mill High School in Fayetteville and a 2013 honor graduate from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in Washington, D.C., where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in International Political Economy. He currently works for Epic at their headquarters in Verona, Wisconsin. In August 2014, he will begin a one-year Masters program in International and Development Economics at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.

The couple is planning an October 2014 wedding in Atlanta, Georgia.
