What about Marine held in Mexican jail?

Some reports state that there are 25 to 30 million illegal aliens in the United States today. Regardless of what any reader believes, feels, is outraged about, disgusted, or even saying this is okay, what about Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi?

Sgt. Tahmooressi is a decorated U.S. Marine who has served two tours in Afghanistan. A veteran, who unintentionally crossed over the Mexican border, was arrested by Mexican police who threw an illegal weapons charge on him, and is now held in a prison near Tijuana.

This border continues to have millions crossing into the U.S. every day, legally or not. Children are now crossing from Mexico to the U.S. by themselves, because their parents know that the U.S. will take care of them. And, we do.

Mexican prisons are known to be among the roughest and toughest. In comparison, prisons throughout America are pretty pristine and yes, prisoners are treated with some kind of human decency.

In Mexico, prisons are quite the opposite. Staying alive is very difficult. Drinking water is very hard to obtain, rats are everywhere and slop as food is questionable while the prison itself is very, very unclean.

There are neither televisions, courts to play basketball nor all the other luxuries afforded by our U.S. tax dollars to prisons in America. Mexican prisoners hate Americans and will do them much harm.

So, it was quite astonishing when Americans were alerted that the prison permitted Sgt. Tahmooressi to be moved to his own private cell. Reasonably so, a good call, since he was beaten by inmates.

At least a White House petition to release this Marine had quite a few signatures. Of course [it is] now down-played due to the terrorist hostage swap, you know the one.

The President of the United States of America and commander in chief negotiated [the release of] five high-ranking Taliban terrorists for an exchange of one questionable American hostage, Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.

President Obama went against the constitution, not to mention possibly financing a terrorist organization, exchanging “indefinite Gitmo prisoners,” all for political gain.

Americans can’t lose sight of this stranded decorated Marine in Mexico.

The only way I can envision helping is praying for a collective national public outrage to take place. Flooding your state congressmen and senators by phone calls, letters, and emails may work. Let them know you are disgusted by this atrocity and get Sgt. Tahmooressi out of the Mexican prison.

How horrible this is while an exchange of high ranking Taliban terrorists was just made. Demand quick action. While you’re at it, remind them there is a runoff election coming and you intend to vote your conscience.

I personally believe that politicians don’t care. Why should they? The media is hyped currently on the five Taliban terrorist hostage exchange. It will take a “we the people” uproar to be even noticed by the media or to pressure politicians to make this right. It is essential that our kind of loving Americans stand together to help get this imprisoned honorable Marine out of Mexico. Sgt. Tahmooressi needs our help to come home.
