Another stuck truck in what was Lake Peachtree

Curious motorists are continuing to venture out onto the exposed bed of the drained Lake Peachtree ... but they’re not getting back out. This driver and others are being cited by police with violating a city ordinance forbidding the “improper use of Lake Peachtree.” Photo courtesy Peachtree City Police Department.

Cited for improper use of Lake Peachtree. Is there really an ordinance that says this. As times are now there better be or some lawyer will have a field day. I say get them out of the vehicle and let the vehicle stay. Prime fishing later. Even idiots should no better than to drive in that stuff. Sorry I not PC this early

That's the Gadsen Flag "Don't Tread on Me" rattlesnake on his front bumper. Maybe he shouldn't have treaded on a drying-up lake bed.

I heard the driver was sending the BOC and Rapson the bill to remove the truck due to the excess silt. Lol

You would think if the other drivers got miserably stuck that your chance of success would be slim to none.

But they keep trying.

Maybe there is a revenue generator here by setting up a prize and charging the driver $500 for attempting to make it across. Then charge $400 for the tow out of it.

Skimming the crust off sediment every few years in a too shallow basin is a waste of money.

Time to have county and city cooperation make things right with Lake Peachtree.

Bring in the heavy earth moving gear and take out 10 to 20 feet of the basin floor.

Spread that soil downstream to fill in the useless marshland behind The Fred.

Create a proper Lake Peachtree as the centerpiece of this well palnned community,

and some beautiful parkland at the same time...
