Baraty-Kirkland engagement

Bill and Karen Baraty of Peachtree City, Ga. proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Katherine Baraty, to Russell Daniel Kirkland III, son of Rusty and Peggy Kirkland of Douglas, Ga.

The bride select is the granddaughter of Etta Schlobohan and the late Roland Schlobohan of Peachtree City, Ga.

Sarah is a 2007 graduate of McIntosh High School. She received a master's degree in nursing in 2014 and is employed at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens as an emergency room nurse.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Russell and Prue Kirkland of Douglas, Ga.

Russell is a 2007 graduate of Coffee High School and currently is in his fourth year of Doctor of Pharmacology at UGA.

The wedding is planned for January 2015 in Athens. The couple will reside in Athens, Ga. after the wedding.
