Chorale concert is May 11

The Southern Crescent Chorale wraps up their 11th season with a fun-filled concert at the Southern Ground Amphitheater May 11 at 8 p.m. “Hooray for Hollywood” will be an energetic concert featuring the Chorale, soloist, and band performing music from movies of old and today. You’ll hear tunes such as “Eye of the Tiger,” “Old Time Rock and Roll,” “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend,” “Jailhouse Rock,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Over the Rainbow,” “Stand By Me,” “James Bond Theme,” and many more.
The Chorale will be joined by popular Atlanta soloist Kim Bowers-Rheay Baran. She is currently Resident Teaching Artist for the Alliance Theatre Institute for Educators and Teaching Artists, a professional singer, actress and a certified Montessori teacher.
As a professional actress, she has performed throughout the Southeast and on national tours.
Doors open at 7 p.m. on May 11. Concessions will be provided by Fayetteville Dwarf House and will be available for purchase starting at 7 p.m., or bring your own picnic to enjoy the show. Concert admission is $15 for adults and $12 for students and senior adults age 60 and over. Advance tickets are available at the Fayetteville Main Street Office at the Courthouse, the Fayetteville Library, or at Occasionally Yours, located on the Fayetteville Square. The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour traveled to Senoia June 6-7 for the Canongate Series #4. The Canongate Seminole Course played excellent host to two very competitive rounds of junior golf.
