Kenneth (Ken) James Hulse 68, passed away on Christmas Eve surrounded by his family. He had been fighting Alzheimer’s for the last 11 years. With his quick wit and infectious smile he won the hearts of many. He was a great guy with the best sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh.
Ken was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. & grew up on LI with a love of all things water – fishing, boating or just enjoying the views with family & friends. He never met a clam or oyster he didn’t like! He was a proud member of the Mother’s Club at Delta’s N.Y. Res & later a long term resident of Morallion Hills where he was happy to play with everyone. After living in Peachtree City Ga. for almost 30 years & working for Delta and the airline industry he made it back to the water. The last 5 years were spent on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay in Fairhope AL where he again enjoyed walks on the pier & the sounds of the sea birds.
He is survived by his wife Robin, sons, Brian and Sean, daughter-in-law Heather, grandsons Hayden and Jack, brothers Kevin & Terry (Walter) & wife Joanne, sister-in-law Kathi & husband Rick McDaniel, brother-in-law Bill Meyer & their families.
Ken’s family would like to thank the many friends & co-workers for the kind words and thoughts in the recent days. A celebration of life will be held March 24th in Fayetteville Ga.
The best, the kindest, the funniest. He will be missed.
