Charles Marshall Wilson

December 14, 1939 – December 30, 2017

Today he went home to be with his Heavenly Father, Chuck Wilson who was a Godly Man, Family Man, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, and Friend.  He loved life and his family to the fullest.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Sue; daughter, Holly; grandsons, Cameron and Kyle; and his granddaughter, Sophia.

Chuck grew up in the south in humble beginnings, constantly moving to follow the harvest of the season living in homes that had no indoor plumbing.  As a young adult, Chuck proudly served his country as a Marine (in Hawaii). His military service was a turning point in Chuck’s life which led him to pay for his own education to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Woodbury University and then his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University.  At the height of Chuck’s career he was a CFO/Financial Vice President for an aircraft parts manufacturing company.

Chuck and Sue married in their early 20’s and enjoyed 53 amazing years together. Until Chuck’s death, he would proudly tell his family and friends how lucky he was to be married to Sue. Chuck and Sue built a traditional family focused on their daughter, Holly; their love for Hawaii, multiple organizations (Free Mason’s, Job’s Daughters), and their passion for real estate. Chuck had many hobbies throughout his life, some of which included: snow skiing, water skiing, sailing (he owned both a ski boat as well as a sail boat), flying (he held his private pilot’s license), competing in marathons and triathlons, target shooting (along with hand loading his own ammunition), wood working, motorcycling, and playing golf. The family loves to tell stories about sailing to Catalina, Chuck barefoot water skiing, flying with Holly (without Sue’s permission), vacationing in Hawaii, and his involvement in Holly’s childhood activities (including pageants and Job’s Daughters).

A memorial service was held at Peachtree City United Methodist Church on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Sean Robinson officiating.  Interment to be held in Corona Delmar, Calif. at Pacific View Memorial Park at a later date.

Arrangements made under the direction of Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home & Crematory, Peachtree City, Ga.
