Sheriff seeks help in locating missing Fayette County woman

Update – Jan. 4, 8:25 p.m. – The sheriff”s office reports that Whitney Guest was located in Coweta County. She is safe and being reunited with her family.

Original story: The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a Fayette County resident, 19-year-old Whitney Joy Guest, last seen at the Starbucks store on Ga. Highway 74 in Fairburn. Guest is considered missing and endangered.

Guest reportedly left her north Fayette home during the afternoon hours of Jan. 3 and was last seen at the Starbucks store on Fairburn’s south side later in the afternoon at 4:30 p.m.

Guest, who is 5’8” and 120 pounds, was last known to be wearing blue jeans, a purple and white flannel top and was seen pulling a suitcase and wearing a backpack, said Sheriff Barry Babb.

The 19-year-old is of a diminished capacity and is known to experience seizures, Babb said.

Anyone coming is contact with Guest is asked to detain her as a safety precaution and contact the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office immediately.
