The man pulled out a pistol and demanded money from the registers and safe, Whitlow said.

“The suspect was given the money and he ordered employees and customers to walk to the back of the store,” said Whitlow. “The suspect then fled the store on foot.”

Fayetteville Police Officers responded and conducted a search of the area without locating the suspect, Whitlow noted, adding that there were no injuries in the incident.

Whitlow said Fayetteville detectives continue to investigate, and anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the Fayetteville Police Department at 770-461-4441.
