State of the Republican Party: Perilous

Republicans just dodged two bullets. Karen Handel had the help of many high profile Republican of worth, Trump, Pence, Scalise, Gingrich and Price to name a few.

Fortunate for Karen and the GOP, she went up against an uber lightweight, but won by only 3.8 points.

Ralph Norman won by 1.8 points in South Carolina. Nothing to write home about. Ron Estes won Kansas by 6 points. Greg Gianforte body slammed a Fake News reporter, charged with assault, had the biggest 7 point spread, in Montana.

Democrats are not stupid. They will learn in time for the 2018 midterms how to fix stupid.

The GOP needs to win over or neutralize the RINOs: McCain, Ryan, McConnell, Johnson, Graham, Collins and several other obstructionists. I still have faith in Rubio. Trump should keep on tweeting to bypass the Fake Media. Fire anyone he is constitutionally allowed, who is wasting his time, forward movement, the American taxpayers’ money and patience, especially those on the Russian witch hunt.

Blue states loaded with progressives and RINOs, especially the Northeast and West Coast, should be marginalized without of any loss of political capital. President Trump can sing Kumbaya until his lungs burst; they still won’t vote or cross the aisle for him.

The last time in my lifetime when parties reached across the aisle was initiated by President Ronald Reagan and Speaker Tip O’Neil, D-MA. They don’t make Democrats the way they used to. Don’t expect to see this kind of interparty camaraderie with the current players.

Otherwise you may visualize this nightmare: Republicans currently have a 24-seat House majority. It is not far-fetched that Democrats can flip the House in 2018. Ryan is gone; Pelosi takes over; impeachment proceedings are initiated against Trump and Pence. Once they are impeached, they can be indicted. They are exonerated, become private citizens, gone. Biden or some other palatable Democrat candidate moves in.

This or something like it can easily happen sooner or later when Democrats fix stupid. Can’t happen? Ask one-term President George H.W. Bush.
