Jewish friendship group forming
A new Jewish friendship group, Havurah Hachnasat Orchim, based on the philosophy of Rabbi Mordecai M. Kaplan, is now forming on the south side. Its vision is to create a community where ancient tradition is blended with innovation, where study and deeds of kindness are the cornerstones of a thriving and enthusiastic experience. All Saints observes Ash Wednesday
All Saints Anglican Church will conduct Ash Wednesday services March 1 at noon and 7 p.m. at 149 Ebenezer Road (just south of Ga. Highway 54, east of Peachtree City). For more information on the service or Ash Wednesday, call the church office,  770-486-5374.

COS announces Ash Wednesday plans
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will offer two services on Ash Wednesday, March 1. These services, at 12:15 and 6:30 p.m., will usher in the season of Lent, where introspection and repentance are encouraged. Corporate confession, the optional imposition of ashes reminding Christians of their mortality, and Holy Communion will be included. The evening service will be preceded by a potluck soup supper at 5:30 in Fellowship Hall. All are welcome.

Free finance class offered
Shekinah Glory Fellowship Center is offering a free four-week finance class on Tuesday nights at 7 p.m during the month of March.  Class materials including workbook are free as well. Classes will be held at  Shekinah Glory Fellowship Center, 1381 Ga. Highway 85 North, Fayetteville.  This class is free and open to the public. Perlieu Stew set for March 4
Bethany United Methodist Church will serve its traditional Perlieu Stew on Saturday, March 4, from noon until 3 p.m., or until all stew is sold. The church is at 607 Rivers Rd. (intersection of Milam, Rivers and Lee’s Lake roads) in north Fayette County.

Men’s study starts March 8 at PUMC
