Senoia picks new manager

After a nearly three month search, Senoia has a new city manager. On Friday morning, the City Council selected current assistant police chief in Lake City Harold Simmons. Simmons is a long-time Senoia resident, and has 35 years in law enforcement. Simmons is also special assistant to the Lake City Manager on issues regarding police operations and economic redevelopment.

Simmons will get paid $87,000 per year according to the employment agreement approved Friday morning.

Simmons also previously also worked for the Fayetteville Police Department.
