Susan Lee Bowden Taylor, of Sharpsburg, passed away May 29, 2016. Born in Columbus, Miss. to the late Warner and Jeannette Bowden.

Susan grew up in Germantown, Tenn. She attended M.S.C.W. and worked for Delta Airlines for many years. Susan lived with her family in East Point, Ga. and worked as an educator in the Fulton County School System. She moved to Sharpsburg and retired from the Peachtree City Recreation Department after many years of loyal service.

She was a devoted wife to her husband of 51 years, a loving and caring mother to her two daughters,  and a doting grandmother to her two grandsons, the loves of her life.

She is survived by her husband, Phil Taylor; daughters, Ginger (Greg) Zanebis of Peachtree City; Amy Taylor of Sharpsburg; grandsons, Alex Zanebis and Jack Warner Zanebis; brothers, Henry (Michelle) Bowden of New Jersey; Allan (Carolyn) Bowden of Tennessee.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 3 at Peachtree City United Methodist Church with Rev. Sean Robinson officiating. The family kindly request in lieu of flowers memorials be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, Memorial Gifts, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, Tenn. 38148-0142.

Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, is in charge of arrangements.
