Missouri woman charged with identity fraud

Fayette County Sheriff’s investigators arrested a Missouri woman on Nov. 10 on charges of identity fraud.

Chevell Chamberlyn, 30, of Lee Summit, Missouri, was charged with two counts of identity fraud, according to sheriff’s spokesperson Brent Rowan.

Rowan said the case involved Chamberlyn fraudulently using a Fayette County victim’s Heritage Bank account number to pay her AT&T phone bill in the amount of $432.86 and $285.65.

Rowan said the fraudulent charges occurred in November 2009.
