Mr. Floyd Leeman “Frankie Lee” Swords, 68, of Fayetteville, lost his battle with cancer on July 2, 2010.

He was born to Floyd and Rose Lee Swords on November 10, 1941 in Greenville, SC. He was an Air Force veteran who proudly served his country for eight years, which led to his 26-year employment with Delta Airlines as a Line Maintenance Aircraft Mechanic. He was a man with a quick wit and sense of humor. He was an avid boater and craftsman.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years Patricia; four sons Christopher of Jacksonville, FL; Daniel & daughter-in-law Alla and their children Lauren and Alexander of Fayetteville; Michael of Tampa, FL; and Robert & daughter-in-law Ashley of Locust Grove, GA; brother and sister-in-law Sherwin & Patricia Swords of Simpsonville, SC; sister Linda Clark of Marietta, SC; and brother and sister-in-law Nelson & Anne Swords of Anderson, SC.

A visitation for Mr. Swords will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Mowell Funeral Home. A military burial will be held Friday, July 9, 2010 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
