Members of Konos Academy in Fayetteville have been memorizing lines, learning songs, and perfecting choreography as they prepare to perform “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.”

Konos Academy is a homeschool program with students who meet once a week in Fayetteville. Students attend from six south metro counties.

Every year all Konos high school students take three weeks of intensive rehearsals to learn, stage, and perform a major dramatic production.

“I always enjoy watching our students learn to work together on a single project. Everyone has a different job, but it all has to come together,” said Carole Thaxton, co-founder and Konos Academy instructor. “This is such a fun musical for the students to learn. I’m looking forward to seeing the performances!”

The Konos Academy Players will perform “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast” at New Hope Baptist Church South Campus in Senoia.

Performances are Thursday and Friday, Feb. 4 and 5 at 7 p.m. both nights.

All tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for students. Tickets will be available at the door.
